Chicken with Mushroom Cream Sauce – Made in a cast iron Skillet

In search of new receipies to try, I came across this one from Pinterest. This receipe calls for chicken breast but I followed the instructions using bone in chicken thighs. This resulted in undercooked chicken in a delcious cream sauce.

I then came across this other recipe which called for a more basic cream sauce but had the cooking instructions for using bone in chicken thighs. The method calls for first searing the thighs in the skillet and then baking them in an oven at 400 degrees while preparing the mushroom sauce. This method resulted in perfectly cooked chicken that was just GORGEOUS and an exceptionally delicious sauce that was to die for. Prepared with a side of risotto.
