Winter Cranberry BBQ Sauce


  • Fresh Canberries
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Clove
  • Star Anise
  • All Spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh orange zest
  • 1/4 cup Honey Apple Vinegar
  • Diet Ginger Ale
  • Sugar free Sweetener of your choice
  • Cumin
  • Cayenne powder to taste
  • Coco Aminos (Soy Sauce Replacement)
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper

Place cranberries, diet soda, Vinager in a pot over medium heat. Put whole spices in a tea ball or spice sash and place in a pot. Allow ingredients to cook together on the stove. Taste the sauce and add sugar free sweetener to taste. Tweak the spices to your liking

Cut the sauce on medium-high in a pan on the stove top until boiling. Reduce heat to a simmer and continue to cook covered for another 20 minutes.

Continue to cook down the sauce and add flavors as you prefer for a barbecue sauce.

Once cooked strain the sauce into a heat safe container. Make any final taste adjustments at this stage.

Your sauce is now ready to use the way you would use any other barbecue sauce.
